Supernatural Elements

Supernatural elements play a role in these stories. Ghosts, otherworldly beings, even vampires…just not necessarily the ones you know. Not human AU, you say? One of our favorite boys or girls has been stripped of their powers and normal-fied. Close enough for me!

Please read the warnings for individual fics, lest ye be squicked.
Most fics hosted here are sexually explicit.

Belief by inca—Spike/Liam. The rich son of an Irish shipping merchant is sent to America, bribed with a mansion by his father to take part in the family business. When it becomes apparent that his new home comes with supernatural baggage, he employs the services of a man named Spike.
Why this fic? The supernatural elements in this fic are interesting and novel, and I love the sexual dynamics in this fic. Liam is such a…guileless slut, and Spike is nearly prudish in an endearingly prickly way. It shouldn’t work, but it really really does.

Meet the Pratts and sequel by verity watson—Spike/Buffy. When Buffy moves to LA to start over with her friend Willow, she meets a certain punk singer…who also happens to be a vampire.
Why this fic? Many times we can reduce Spike’s attraction to Buffy to one thing: she’s Chosen. The fact that they are each predator *and* prey is a powerful draw in their relationship, but this fic does a fantastic job of making the case that Spike loved Buffy the Girl as much as he did Buffy the Slayer.

The Senator’s Downfall & The Warrior’s Downfall by virtualpersonal—Spike/Xander. See Xander. Xander is a promising young Salustrali senator, involved in a set of meetings to renegotiate a contract with the winged race of warriors that protect their planet. See Spike. Spike is Kerali sex-on-legs-and-wings. See Xander chase Spike. See Xander get totally screwed.
Why this fic? It’s a fun premise that delivers a fun ride. And isn’t it *always* of the good when Xander gets all brain-addled and lusty? And it’s *undeniably* good when Spike talks dirty.
