Why this fic? This is just achingly sweet. It's amazing how mel captures so much canon characterization here, all the while keeping the story AU. It's the story of Liam, and how he learns to love and be loved. It's a story of coming of age and it's a fairytale. It's beautiful.

Why this fic? If you’re used to incest-fic having that dirty edge, this is a total departure from that. it’s just so *sweet*. And it manages to make the basement scenario seem fresh, which is pretty darn impressive these days.
