The Adventures of Captain Peroxide and Deadboy is an Angel/Spike shipper site. This is a great place to get your vintage spangel—pre-canon, canon or post-nfa. This site no longer gets updated.

All About Spike: Fanfiction That Explores Spike's Ambiguities

All About Spike has canon-flavored fic centered around a complex, redemptionist Spike, in a variety of pairings, het and slash, or gen. The archive stopped getting updated a long time ago, but it’s an excellent source for high-quality fic.

Beautiful Madness is a small Darla/Dru femmeslash site. This pairing is totally canon, and deserves more attention! I’m uncertain of this site’s status.

Bloodshedverse is an archive for canon-flavored spuffy fic. It's got a great collection of talented authors and engaging fic. The archive is automated, and still active/updating.

Deep In is an archive dedicated to Angel and his many faces. Het, slash or character study, there’s a lot to love here. This is a non-submission archive, and I’m not sure it’s being updated anymore, at any rate.

Fists and Fangs is a Spike-centric redemptionista/evilista/any-ista site that celebrates all versions of the Spike we met in canon. Het, slash, and gen/character study. This archive is non-submission, no longer updated.

Glitter is an archive for RPS, or Real Person Slash, among Buffyverse actors. Written fantasies about our favorite actors fucking each other, no libel intended. Yummy, though maybe not for everyone.

Just Rewards is an archive site for the Fang Fetish Awards. Fics hosted there have won at the FFA or are written by multi-winning authors. The awards site has Spuffy roots, but the archive showcases a slew of pairings. Mainly canon fic, some human AU.

Slashing the Angel is an archive with a variety of Angel slash pairings. A section also exists for het, under “schism,” though it’s less organized and smaller. Most of the fic here leans towards the dark side, and what yummy darkfic it is. This site still gets updated from time to time. I belieeeeeeve it’s a non-submission site, but I couldn’t find a confirmation of that.

The Spander Files

Spander Files is an active spander archive that accepts both canon fic and human AU. Though it’s a little too busy to be esthetically pleasing, this is a great source for spander of all stripes and kinks.

Sublime is a Angel/Buffy shipper site. The archivist especially favors dark and/or angsty fic (don’t we all?), but there’s some happy too. This is a non-submission site, updated fairly regularly.

Sweet Temptation is a Spuffy-only human AU site. It accepts submissions, but the fic is then reviewed by the webmistresses in an attempt at quality control. This means that the quality on this site is well above that of open-submission sites. Yay!

Xander Xtreme is a Xander-centric site in which Xander is either dominant or submissive to his sexual partner. Active, and accepts submissions via their companion lj comm.

Adds Mystery is the personal site of WesleysGirl. A wide variety of pairings, though obviously they tend to be Wes-centric. Good stuff all around.

The Brat Queen is TBQ’s personal fic site. Some great Angel/Wes fic.

Bugger This hosts a collection of personal fic collections for a couple great Spuffy writers, including Herself, Salieri, and nwhepcat.

Days of Our Unlives is a single-fic site and is made of hilarity. Spike comes to live with Angel. Like a sitcom soap opera on vampire crack.

Distorting Mirrors is Deborah’s personal fic site. She’s a talented, lovely person. You’ll find a lot of Fanged Four fiction here, including Angel/Spike, and some Spike/Giles and Spike/Buffy as well. Note: Deb is also known as shapinglight.

Glossings is Glossolalia’s fic site. Wide variety of pairings, but I especially like her Oz fics.

Just Between Us is the personal fic site of entrenous. Primarily Spander, but she writes just about every pairing that exists, and she writes them well. Canon and human AU. Check her livejournal for more recent updates than her website.

Nauti Bits is Nautbitz’ Spuffy fic, canon and human AU. She just revamped the design. Good stuff, and plenty of it!

Night Never Ending is Lynne’s personal fic site. Primarily Angel/Spike, but you’ll find other pairings here, and all of it’s a delight to read. Note: Lynne is also known as germaine_pet.

Octaves of the Heart is Chrislee’s personal site. She’s largely a B/A shipper, but you’ll find other pairings too, including some great slash.

Peasant’s Plot is Peasant’s personal fic site. She writes amazingly historically accurate fic. Also check out her meta while you’re there, because it’s brilliant.

Penetrating Urges is Kat’s personal Buffyverse site, primarily spangel and spander. Her canon fic is as delightful as her human AU. Note: Kat is also known as toobusy2write.

Scribblings is evilmaniclaugh’s fic site. She writes in a variety of fandoms. You’ll find her Buffyverse stuff in the Spangel, Scraps, and RPS sections.

BtVS Writer’s Guild is a webring of great sites. Some have disappeared, but a number of them are still there. Happy surfing!

BuffyWorld is a great resource for episode summaries and transcripts. It dropped off the map for about a month, but after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, it’s back. Thanks for bringing back a valuable resource, guys!

City of Angel is a resource guide for all things from the Angel series, including episode and character guides and an extensive library of all the demon species that appeared on the show.

ColdDeadSeed (CDS) is a popular discussion forum. I haven’t the foggiest idea what goes on there because I don’t do message boards, but people seem to enjoy it. lol.

Peasant’s Plot: The Gate has Peasant’s meta essays on the Buffyverse. I find her essays to be especially clarifying of canon, and if you’re weak on history like me, it’s a great resource. Don’t miss the very thorough Aurelian timeline. It’s clever and shiny!

S/X and Violence is a good resource for spander lovers, essays and recs and stuff. Spander is a pairing with a shit-ton of fanon, and I think the Canon v. Fanon section is brilliant in distinguishing between the two.

The Wayback Machine. Virtual time travel, who doesn’t love that? Ever follow an old URL to a favorite piece of fanfic only to find that the site is gone with the wind? Take that URL to the Wayback Machine, and maybe you’ll find a backup of the site. It’s magic! Only downside is that it’s not searchable. You need the exact URL, or at least a URL to the fic archive so that you can surf to the fic you want.
